I need to re-order some stainless steel bleed nipples for the Falco and would be grateful if anyone could tell me the actual size of the nipples please? I've done a search with no joy, but looking at them (front caliper)and using my trusty ruler I reckon they are a M8 x 1.25. I'm assuming (dangerous I know) that the rear will be the same size
I ordered a set of 3 stainless HEL bleed nipples from a company called Moto-Racing and the ones they have sent are definately M10 and are too big for my goldline calipers (PS Don't waste your time with this outfit, they don't answer either e-mails or the phone, looks like I'm stuck with these bleed nipples)
Cheers

Ah the old jogger's problem.
I think you probably need some vaseline and a good sports bra.

I'm pretty sure they are M10, but with a 1mm pitch thread.

Found a good but bl**dy obvious way of checking................I got out my tap & die set and ran the nipple through a die to check
I'm pleased to report that my aging eyesight and good (questionable) judgement was right they are
M8 x 1.25 but after doing more t'internet research last night the M10 x 1 ones might be for the later radial calipers

I'd go with that, as well - M10 x 1.0mm. That would be for standard front Brembo Goldlines, if memory serves correctly. Unfortunately as I'm estranged from the bike at the moment (no cause for alarm, just a temporary separation), I can't check to be sure.

Nope they are definately M8 x 1.25 for the goldline calipers (well the ones fitted to my calipers are that size)

interesting, I just looked at the torque settings for the bike and it dos say M10 x 1.0. on reflection M10 does seem a bit big for the bleed nipples though and you've verified the actual item so a lesson learned.

Well I've not been out to have a look but is there any possibility that each is right but for each of the threads?
One of them where you screw the whole thing in to whatever you are bleeding and the other for the bit you crack open to bleed it?
(note the excellent use of technical terms in the description).
Probably not the case but it was just a wild thought.

Is it M10 for the front calipers and M8 for the rear?

Little did I think such a simple request would lead to such a long ( and somewhat boring thread)
The answer is that the bleed nipples on the Falco (running std goldline calipers) front are
M8 x 1.25 and rear caliper is
M10 x 1.0 so don't believe the hype (or the manual)
