Rather attractive young Superintendant - wonder if that affected the decision of the constable at all.

More to the point, wonder what she looks like in uniform :smt077

Hmmm - a 50 limit ..... maybe one of those that has recently arbitrarily been shifted from 60 which again was a blanked without much reason.

Yeah 79 breaks the regulation but IF it was a road as speculated above, well that's not necessarily crime of the century (though in Britain's climate of demonising "going a bit quick" it is probably deemed as such).

£710 fine and £800 costs :smt009 nobody hurt, nothing damaged

I tend to drive to the conditions. There are a few roads around here that have been put down to 50mph for no other reason than some silly bureaucrat from Brussels can't fookin drive properly.. But that's another rant for another day. :smt012
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

That's not the the point, the point is that police officers should be above reproach, how can she oversee officers dishing out summonses to other drivers if she's allowed to get away with it?
Judge Devas agreed not to ban the officer after accepting that it would cause her ‘hardship’ due to the amount of driving she does.
Can you imagine the same judge doing that for a biker?

As always, one law for them.........

so

if as a biker, you are done, cite this case in mitigation....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

judge would be obliged to sentence match - if you were doing the same, then they could not, i real terms, give you more than what she got.... ie, no direct ban, but the same 6 point penalty.....

judge made a ruling - very hard for another judge to over rule/ change it....

Got fond memories of the Crossed Knees (AKA the Cross Keys) at Epperstone.
One evening there kicked off with Mrs S upending a pint over someone's head. :smt003
