falco traded in

#1 Post by ibicker » Sat Nov 20, 2010 4:09 pm

Hi guys after much thought and deleberation after the theft and return of the falco I today traded her in. Will miss the bike its been great fun. Ive recently just been using her for a commute in heavy traffic and shes got very hot and bothered. The fuel consumption was also crippling me. I kept with aprilia and today picked up a DORSODURO 750.

Its definatly not got the looks or the power of the falco but feels good in traffic and hopefully wont be as thirsty. They gave me £1750 for my 05 falco with 14000 miles on it. It did have a broken steering lock(from the theft) and some panel damage down one side due to a little incident that I never got done due to a high excess.

The dorsoduro is a couple of insurance groups down on the falco so i'm actually getting some money back from them.

I have a few Falco bits leftover and will put them up for sale in a few weeks time if any ones interested.

cheers

Ian

I can understand mate

and i am certain that a few folk here will be getting their best vulture outfits ready.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hmmm a Dorso - first on the forum as far as I'm aware.
Looking forward to hearing about it.

..... and we'll have to think about how we cater for Dorsos, Shivers, Manas, RSV4 etc in the Aprilia part of the forum ....

Totally understandable, good luck with the Dorso and give us performance report.

Sorry to see another red/anthracite one depart, but at least we haven't lost you. I can fully understand the decision to trade, and I'm sure the Dorso will serve you well. Just keep it properly secured - don't want the scrotes making off wiith this one!

Hi all,

I can understand your decision, also, you obviously love "Aprilia," getting the dorso :smt002 Hope you secure your new bike moreso that the falco, as the dorso would be lighter and easier to nick methinks :smt009 Enjoy your commute on your new stead!

Let us know what she is like to ride fella :smt001
