I managed to get a lorry driver and his numberplate on film this afternoon, Its been submitted to plodgempip wrote:So the new law re driving while using a mobile is going to crack down on drivers is it? Dont make me laugh, I have seen at least 5 car and van drivers today busy yapping away while in town. If you look at them while you are on your bike all you get is a lot of mouthing off. It is quite obvious that they know that unless the law is there on the spot (and lets face it seeing police around in quantity is as rare as rocking horse manure, they are too busy filling in reports back at HQ) they will carry on regardless and if they flatten you, well it is your word against theirs I suppose.

I'd report anyone I see using a phone while driving if I've caught it on camera.

Good for you, Gio! Honestly. I know people will no doubt say that it's just being an interfering old fuddy duddy, etc, however Sod em! These irresponsible tw*ts cannot be allowed to continue flouting the law. It's as much, in fact more, of a safety issue than anything else. Phones come with 'Silent' mode, phones come with answerphone. People should use those services and not toy with other people's lives.
