Leaking Clutch
Seems to be leaking from the lever so assume it's a master cylinder issue. Pushrod seal?
Can I get a seal kit or would a new master cylinder be required?
Cheers all.

I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?
Hmmm - now I'm back home and have a decent internet connection again, I've had a look at the ultimate parts website and it doesn't seem that Aprilia lists the seal separately ..... so it looks as though we need to identify and source clutch and brake master cylinder seals as well as the calliper seals.
So far we've got the clutch slave seal (posted up) and I've now got the Millie 4-pad calliper seal info (yet to be posted up) thanks to Chabby's mate, Dave.
I'm planning to get the Falco twin-pad calliper seals sorted too - though that won't be for a little while.
I guess the other things to be sorted the are:
Unfortunately I'm not going to get round to that in time for you - but if you want to contact Chaby to see whether his mate is willing to identify the master cylinder seals for you, then PM him. If he is willing, you would need to send your old seal to him and preferably the master cylinder too.
If you do find out, then we need to get that info posted up so that we all have this to hand and aren't repeatedly bothering Chabby or his mate.

I'll strip it off the bike this weekend to make sure that it's definitely leaking from there, and that it's the seal at fault and not the cylinder gone oval for some reason - had this on a Bandit.
Then, if it is the seal, I'll do the PM and we'll see where we go from there.

The best laid plans........
and all that guff.
Bloody dog decided to have a fight with the bloody cat this weekend. Bloody wife decides to break it up. With her foot.
So Sunday morning was spent in A&E with her. Sunday afternoon was spent in A&E with her. (Why does it take so long to put a dressing on a dog bite and prescribe some antibiotics?)
Needless to say I am NOT allowed to kill either of the pets as retribution as 'it was an accident'.
Maybe next weekend eh?

BMW use the same calipers on a lot of their bikes (R1200GS, K1200R & S, almost certainly others), but in grey with BMW on them, rather than in gold with Brembo on them, so maybe some research on their brakes may bring up useful seal info.I'm planning to get the Falco twin-pad calliper seals sorted too

Good info Nooj, unfortunately if it has anything to do with BMW it usually has a hugely inflated price tag too, hope to be proven wrong though.Nooj wrote:BMW use the same calipers on a lot of their bikes (R1200GS, K1200R & S, almost certainly others), but in grey with BMW on them, rather than in gold with Brembo on them, so maybe some research on their brakes may bring up useful seal info.I'm planning to get the Falco twin-pad calliper seals sorted too
