A Very Nice Standard Falco
Since I have now told Forza I'm not going to change my bike, (after taking advice from the learned folks on this forum), I thought it only fair to let you look at this Falco I found. I kept thinking it didn't make sense to change my red Falco for another red Falco, but every time I went into their showroom, I got struck by shiney bike syndrome.
I wouldn't make any recommendations, but it's worth a look if you're near Silverstone.

Few on ebay a far better bargin than this, this has been on for a while. When i first started looking last September MotoStrada (Shipley) and Keep Biking (Brackley) had red 01 bikes for around £2800-3000, i offered them £2300...surfice to say they still have the stock 1 year on!
My red 01 is in excelent condition and only cost £2k private, i think the Falco's usually more looked after anyway than other bikes the same age, those that aren't only need elbow grease and ebay to sort things out....(gets off soap box)...have i gone off track??

Strange how prices go, I got my 2001 version (unmarked) with 6k miles on the clock in 2004 for £3k after a haggle on eBay when I was highest bidder but below reserve.
More than 6 years on it is still the best deal I ever did!

It wasn't the absolute price I was interested in but the differential, which was still too high for me. I think bike prices have risen a lot recently and I'm not seeing dealer-sold Falcos much less tan this for 25K mile examples (ok there is a 2001 black one for £2K). There was a 2004 model in On Yer Bike at £3600 the other week. It's a great run out to them, so I set my target to pay them a visit (being nosey - that's all) and have a coffee and a sit on a few bikes.
By the time I got there the Falco had gone.
So I'm not sure £3,400 is too far over for one in pristine nick. If I had storage space I'd make them an offer and keep it - it wouldn't lose any more money than my savings account does. Maybe when the VAT goes up and the cuts start to take effect and we get a harsh winter and grain prices go through the roof, the prices will weaken again.
Anyway, I had a trip out to Revs Suspension yesterday to drop off my white-spring shock. They are very accomodating to deal with - a great pleasure. "For a Falco is it? Did you hear about us on the forum?" We're famous (at least at Revs).

If anyone is looking for a falco
I've not formally put mine up for sale anywhere yet, might get off my @rse and do something for start of next years season, but I am open to offers for my 54 plate bronze falco with stupid-low miles.
The stupid-low miles is the reason I'm looking to sell
.
Bike is in Glasgow area, but would be prepared to ride out a couple of hours for anyone that's seriously interested...
