Bar Ends

#1 Post by FalcoJock » Sun Oct 24, 2010 11:52 am

Is there a secret to getting the bar ends off? Or is it just brute-force and ignorance. There's blistering under the plastic coating that says there's rust underneath, so I might change them, but the whole thing just turns and I can't hold the bar end tight enough to turn the bolt. The are normal right-hand?

Either use a belt strap tool thingie to hold the bar end or use a piece of tin can in mole grips ... Belt strap is better....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Pete and Hanna may have a selection of "Belt Straps" that they use for this job too but I use a strap-wrench to remove the bar ends.
