I'm thinking about doing my first trackday in Brands Hatch Indy circuit on Thursday 10th of May (the only date I know I can make it). It is an evening session, 102 db (bit concerned if my Blueflames pass...) at more than reasonable £69.
Would anyone like to join me? I'd feel better to be (as a novice) accompanied by Falconeer...

I will if you don't mind being blown away by a BM in the bends

Gio, I think I'll be overtaken by my own nervous farts
I'm getting nervous even when it comes to thinking about it...

But... excited as well

You'll love it, Brands Indy isn't that difficult, if you just treat it as a jaunt round some smooth tarmac.
You'll surprise yourself as well how much quicker you are after the 1st few laps
BTW if you like real bends you'll love Druids

It's not about it being difficult, it's my lack of confidence following a recent lowside... I just need some practice. And I need to scrub those stock Metzelers off

I've had a few lowsides, its the tank slappers that worry me.
By scrub off do you mean wear out?

Enter paddock at about 80, aim for the grassy knoll on the inside as your rough apex. Nail it and pray.

(J/K.. find your own speed for it.. It's a lovely bend once you get used to it.)
I absolutely adore Brands. It's absofkkinglutely my favourite track. If I'd had my way my 3 kids wouldve been called Brands, Hatch and Indy.

I was finding it hard to imagine a BMW managing to keep sight of a novice on a Falco, let alone you on your air bm.

Yeah, wear out, get rid off, dump, whatever
Tankslappers? What is that

(steering damper recently fitted)

I've seen a few run sports bikes off round roundabouts (not me I'd hasten to add)

I’d be up for one on a weekend.
