Doh ..... can't get on the forum during the day

#1 Post by D-Rider » Tue Oct 05, 2010 8:36 pm

From work I keep logged on to a number of forums and take the occasional look at what's occurring.

They all worked fine up until this week and there is now one I can't connect to - yep, this one.
All the others work fine.

So if anyone hopes for answers during the day, I'll not actually see them 'till I get home.

IT always look at forums and the like and sometimes block them.
I only log on during luchtime these days and the site does not look like a social network site that is in use all day. Always log out when not in use.
Try that if you manage to get back on.
Possibly it bit eassier for me as I used to manage the team that do the filtering at our place. :smt002
Then again that sometimes puts me at the back of the queue for favours.

I do get on well with IT .... it won't have been blocked deliberately but as a side effect of some other setting .... but asking to sort this out to access a forum is probably not the wisest way forward.

Not going for any Apple stuff - they are such a difficult/obstructive company to do business with I've no desire to support them.
That and the fact that their phones cost a fortune to buy.

The filter they use at work cuts out all forums except the only one I use that has swearing and often 'inappropriate' content - figure that out!
