Booking Flights .....

#1 Post by D-Rider » Mon Sep 13, 2010 4:33 pm

I guess most of us will be familiar with airport codes .... for example, BHX being Birmingham International .....

Well, today I've had to sort out some flights to travel from Japan to Busan in Korea. The best prices were from Fukuoka which, although it requires a long train journey, I can reach economically using the Japan Rail Pass that I will have for other travel on my trip.

So, there it is, a nice cheap flight from Fukuoka to Busan ..... though I was a bit taken aback when my flight search results reported back using the airport codes for these places ......

....... FUK-PUS is what it said ......

There's probably a cream available .....

I'll be flying with "Air Busan" .... I fear they may be the Korean equivalent of Ryanair .... :smt100

Nothing wrong with Ryanair! You get what you pay for (cheap transport) and don't have to pay for anything you don't want, and it gets you where you are going even if a little late sometimes.

soz BG, but that's BS, just booked a so called cheap flight for my mate (which it was) until they added all the crap for booking in a checked bag, checking in at the airport, booking fee etc etc ... pile of crap when it comes to cheap airfares!!! The airfares were £352 but ended up at £473 with all their shite included! Long live BA (if only they flew to Poland!). NEVER trust Wizz Air to be cheap lol :smt018

Not long booked my flight to Jersey. Return for £150 all in.. Which I thought was pretty good.. Considering the ferry from Poole was £135 which doesn't include the petrol used to get there and back. The only down side to flying is missing out on the ride down there and back.. All is not lost though as we know people down there willing to lend a few bikes out for the weekend.. It's all gooood. :smt003

Flight is with FlyBe :smt001
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I used to work in the Channel islands, and the best flight deal ever was with Thompson Fly on their Doncaster - Jersey flight. Which I once secured at .99p each way. (+ taxes of course)
Imagine my surprise when the plane turned out to be a 737 with just 16 of us on board (pick a seat any seat) I bought loads of duty free cigs on the flight, never even got a look going through customs and made a fortune flogging them when I got home (bought em at £1 a pack) and just in case any of you think this was 1975 it was actually 2007

Happy Days :smt003

Enjoy your trip Andy
