RSV4...

Hi all,

I was driving along in my ickle white van this afternoon, when, I heard a low grumble behind and to my right (on a dual carriage-way approaching some lights) which surprised me. I thought what the hell was that Only one exhaust, and as I came up to the red light, low and behold my first sighting of an RSV4 in the flesh on the road

He took off and the sound was absolutely fantastic! I want one, gonna check the back of the coach for some spare change. Might do a charity run to bank and point a black piece of metal and ask for a donation, seeing as they ripped us off to the tune of £850 billion

Well, I am deffo hooked on this beautiful machine Anyone got one with the akropovic system fitted. This guy had one on....

Saw a few at the stealer's earlier in the week.. They look so small.. Think i'd need to take bog-roll with me on a run just to get off the thing!

Guy near me has one, he's had a complete set of carbon fibre bodywork made up for it.

They have a clever valve in the exhaust that shuts when the bike's in neutral to keep the noise down, but opens when you clonk it into first to let more noise out.

Yup the valve is std. sounds pretty ordinary at a standstill, but growls on the move

nextdoor neighbour to where i keep the bike has one with akropovic exhausts, just heard he came off on a corner at the weekend, he has a few bruises but haven't seen the bike yet!

Ouch He kinda OK, but, as for the bike, hope it is fixable. Guess being new, parts will be quite expensive....

Or he can replace bodywork for some austin-racing carbon stuff

I "test" rode one , think RS250 (pint sized bike) fitted with a 180 bhp engine and suspension made from spares off the forth river bridge.

It goes like a scalded cat, corners like its on rails and makes perfect sense on the track, On the road its too compromised but if you have the money and can accept it for what it is then go ahead.

Yes - I only sat on one in the showroom, but that was my impression as well. Suspension felt pretty much rigid - track use only, but despite being tiny it fitted me like a glove. A neat trick if you can manage it, and I'm 5ft 11" (in old money...)

Yes I've sat on one a couple of times - a small bike but not at all cramped.

Not sure how comfortable a pillion would be though - I've not even seen one with the pillion pad in place.

You certainly (no, almost certainly) wouldn't want to tour on it but I'm not sure I'd put it in "track only" status - at least not without riding one.

well I struggled to afford a 9 year old falco so maybe I can buy one of these in 9 years or so

still loving the falco tho - in fact I suspect the bike I buy after this one will be another falco, but younger and with all the mods on

I still think I'll be putting a deposit down on the Tuono V4 when its launched

My last Tuono made me smile so much my cheeks hurt

I only hope the price isn't too high or SWMBO will have something to say I'm sure
