I decided to have a run up to Cadwell Park yesterday to see the BSB. It is a brilliant 100+ mile run up from Milton Keynes with no motorway/dual carriageway necessary. The bike was running sweet as a nut in the cool air and flowing nicely. At traffic lights a Firestorm pulled alongside and asked (well the rider asked) if I was going to Cadwell. He said he'd follow, with a couple of mates behind, because they didn't know the way. So it was a blast.
The racing got a bit boring after a while (am I getting old?), so I left early and had another brilliant run home. I might go up there again, but now I know it's a good run, I won't bother with a race weekend as the objective - I'll just go for the ride. It didn't seem like 100+ miles each way, so I must have had fun.
But...
I didn't see another Falco.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

A bit like the rest of us a couple of years ago ..... a fair number of us decided to meet up at the BSB .....we all arrived but very few actually managed to find each other .......FalcoJock wrote:I decided to have a run up to Cadwell Park yesterday ...........

Sorry to disappoint, but thought I was the only Falco at Cadwell on Monday.
I didn't see another one either.
Although the ride there proved a bit more exciting than normal.
Thought i knew the road, but a junction appeared a bit sooner than i remembered.
The road was damp so couldn't brake as hard as needed.
Ended up going across the grass verge and out into the road in front of an artic.
If i were a cat that would be one of the nine gone.
Gave myself a good rollicking, not the type of riding you'd expect from an advanced rider.
One of the mates said it was a good save, but still felt like a pratt.
Slowed me down on the way back..
