A Falco with a target of 140 bhp

#1 Post by D-Rider » Wed Aug 18, 2010 3:47 pm

I was browsing another forum and came across this comment in a post from 2007.
This winter I will be doing something to the top end of the engine... did some one have any spare 54mm throttle bodies lying around?? I am intending to also change the gearing a little and get some full dynosets done

If, and I repeat if, I can do the engine mods I want to this winter, I am honestly aiming for 140 bhp... madness, but is a target :)
Short of a later model RSVR motor / big bore / turbo combo, I am trying to think how on earth that may be achieved with some top end mods.

Any ideas?

(And am closer to it than i was then... think i am around 124/5 atm and think i can get another 2 or 3 before too long

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

New heads being 1768 quid each aside could you skim the heads slightly to increase compression?

Fitting the larger valved heads from a later Mille is said to have some merit ..... but a nitrous kit may be better if 140bhp is the target .....

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
