What??? No special Google Logo today?

#1 Post by D-Rider » Tue Aug 17, 2010 12:26 pm

I've been on Google today and they've not even bothered to put up one of their special celebratory logos.
I can't believe it.

Now I must admit that before lunchtime I wasn't aware that it is a special day today - but it clearly is.

Walking from the office over to Tescos I happened to walk past a rather nice young lady who gave me a great big smile. Well, obviously I looked to see who else was there that she was smiling at ... but there was nobody there ... so (having walked on) I did the next thing on the check list .... and confirmed that I'd not forgotten to zip my trousers up.

I crossed the road and headed onward and, would you believe it, another one smiled at me.

Then in Tescos itself it happened again.

Clearly, when I got back to work I went straight to find a mirror to locate the spot on my face the size of Pluto or the rude message that somebody had written on my forehead while I was asleep - but without success.

Now I honestly can't remember the last time I was smiled at by a nice young lady - though I guess it's just possible the mrs did once, many decades ago ...... so it is remarkably clear to me that today is .....

National Smile at an Ugly Bloke Day.

So come on Google, get your act together and give us a logo :smt003

Anyone else benefited from today's special status?

Sorry Andy you'll just have to settle for them catching you walking down the street on that lunchtime all those months ago.
