Whilst doing a bit of long overdue work on my bike today, swapping side stands with no joy (see the other thread for that waste of time)
I also got round to swapping over my brake lines for some nice Red HEL hoses I've had sitting around for a few months now. And despite the usual rear caliper acrobatics needed to get the damn thing to bleed, the job went well
At least I thought it had until I took the belly pan off and found a big dark stain of fluid on the inside, one look at the clutch master cylinder to confirm it was half empty had me reaching for the 5yr old spare slave cylinder I've nearly sold about a dozen times over the years.
Thankfully as most of us know, it's an easy swap and normal service has now been resumed (I hope!) The interesting thing is that I hadn't noticed any problems in changing gear or finding neutral, although I think this one probably needs a better bleed as neutral was playing "hide & seek" with me tonight
Nice when a plan comes together innit?

BTW You wouldn't notice anything until it sucked air into the line. I think...
