Dyno Run
Went for my MOT on Saturday and ended up with the bike on the Dyno machine, sure is a sight seeing your bike put through its paces, even on the other side of the glass the noise was amazing...aircraft like!! Anyway he did a printout which i'm sure would make sense to you lot and eplained the options of how to make things more efficient with the ECU/Mapping blah blah, so heading back to get the work done in a few weeks, nice bloke based in Earl Shilton and near Mallory Park he works and sets up a lot of racers bikes including Rutters BSB.
Let's see the graph then!

Good peek power figure, but the air/fuel looks a bit odd in places

Slopes in a similar direction to mine, which is rich at the bottom, lean at the top. A lean spot at 5000rpm would back that up as that's to do with the emissions test rev range.
Seem to remember reading mine the same way you did when I first got it, then the dyno bloke said no, it's the other way round.
Interesting comparing my old Fazer to the Missus' FZ6 Fazer, my fuel graph was all over the place but the torque curve was fairly smooth, her fuel line was spot on, almost flat in places, but her torque curve was really wobbly.

.... graph axis is labelled A/F .... so bigger number give a bigger amount of air to the amount of fuel = weaker mixture.
So from the graph, Kwakerz is right ..... could be that they're not plotting what they say their plotting if nooj is right.....

Didnt think i was going totally mad.. but Nooj's comments about the dip, etc do make for a bit of sense
Im intrigued now! Dynos are absolutely great, it's not the peak BHP that comes in as interesting, thats a by the by thing, but the fuelling and delivery of the power that gets the old juices flowing, then the fiddling and fettling to change it round, snatching the odd horsepower from the jaws of death, smoothing and improving the delivery and the like..

What..?!! you know you were secretly thinking it..
