Squeeeeeeeek...

#1 Post by Willopotomas » Sun Aug 08, 2010 9:41 pm

... but only under load.. Anyone had this? And I mean the bike, not parts of your anatomy.. :smt003
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

probably the bike complaining that it has not been fettled/modded enough recently

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Not these - further information would have revealed it sounds like it's coming from under the tank.
I think it's probably some high pitched vibration or something rubbing.

It'll be a tank up-to-have-a-look job - but one where you can't create the conditions where it occurs with the tank up. So it'll be look and guess, try a fix, test and see if it helps .... no that wasn't it .... look again .... guess again .... try again - type of investigation ......

Yeah pretty much.. :smt012

Probably leave it until something breaks. I'll know what it is then.. Then I can fix it properly. :smt003

Indeed it is and he's chuffed to bits with it.

A wonder you could hear anything over those Renegades though!

Thats true, but IMO the Rene's are the best can for any Aprilia litre bike.

Also I expect they could do with repacking, not the most difficult job on the planet, but heading that way lol.

.........................................

They can both hear this Squeeeeeeeek
even above the Rene cans ??????????? :smt017

.........................................

Perhaps we have a simple answer.............................. :smt083
.........................................
Perhaps it is not the bike after all.....

You could be right ..... however I'm not from Coventry - just happen to live here.

Will has no excuse.
