Sold out to the dark side...well sort of.

Bought me an old VFR750 of 1988 vintage to see me throught the winter and have to say it was quite a hoot. This morning though, I opened the curtains and it look like summer had arrived so out came the baby all shiney and eager to run. Started first time which was a surprise as the last thing it did before I laid it up was that re-set the dash thing after struggling to fire. The ride to work reminded me of all thats good in the Falco...what a blast. However the Honda got the last laugh as it pissed it down all the way home...global fu**ing warming indeed!

What a crap story...just had to talk though, I ride on the Falco does that to me. :smt003

Theres 2 vfrs in my garage, both owned by the same freak :smt003 One standard immaculate road bike and his track 'weapon'. I'd laugh but I cant catch him even with his £5 slicks, plastic tray over the headlight hole etc etc. "engines designed by HRC to get hondas reputation back you know" he says for the 1000000th time.

From racedays review of Cartegena this christmas
"The Geordie possie featuring the flying Bells who brought a spare bike each but still managed to blow all 4 up by day 3. Meanwhile, in the 'smug as' corner of the same garage Mike Jefferson racked up his 56,000th mile on his track prepped VFR 750. Sub 53 minutes lap and all!"

He's just spent £500 on RC30 forks and brakes, and £200 on a brand new original HRC lightweight front wheel :smt017
