Well I have a new oil filter and 4L of 15-50W Silkolene but what's the deal on page 57 of the owner's manual where it says something about removing a click clamp and cleaning the engine oil filter with compressed air.
Is this some sort of inline filter on the pipe?
Should it be done while I;m doing the main filter and new oil etc (no idea when oil last changed).
Can a jubilee clip do for replacement?
Cheers guys

Its just a bluddy great hunk of course gauze on the inlet and yes, a J-clip can be used as there's no pressure.
Whether its worth cleaning I very much doubt it. After 3 years of having a stealer service her (to keep the warranty), when I did my first service I discovered that they had never done the job. So, I removed it as per the manual and it was as clean as a new pin after 18,000 miles. After 40,000 miles I checked again and guess what, clean as a new pin so I'm not bothering any more.
