Went for a fab ride out saturday around Rutland/Oakham/Melton, I must be getting more experienced as i've started to notice the 5K flat spot you're all on about!!

, also seem to be getting into 5&6th more...sometimes feel i need another gear must be so used to being a car driver for so long
Not sure what 'Hisnibbs' has in store for your meet at Harborough in August but if it's on any of these roads...it will be a blast
Finished off at Midland Superbikes, can't believe how many R1's, Blades and CBR's there were there, nice to stand out on something different

The 5k flat spot is easy to find, it's right between 4k and 6k.

ah - but have you gone over 4 000 revs yet andy?
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

i think it was, it just seemed to stop pulling at that point, although i have the new cans on i haven't yet fitted a K&N filter...don't know if that will make a difference? Also looking at the chip option in time.
Well worth a venture out, lovely views, great villages and picturesque pubs (or should that be the other way around?), Uppingham/Oakham good bases
Hope to do it all again on the 21st (Aug) if I'm down in Leics that weekend and meet up

opening up the airbox will help with the flat spot
