GIRLFRIENDS BUM FORCES SALE!!!!

#1 Post by Tweaker » Thu Jun 24, 2010 12:17 pm

OK, maybe not entirely true but it's not the most comfy pillion perch.
However, for various reasons, the time has come for me to part with the beloved Falco. It's a 2000.5 W reg model with 20990 miles, in the fast colour -Black! Owned for about 7 years and serviced by me, except for the valve clearances check at 15K which I left to the dealer.

Taxed for another month and MoT till end July too but I'm happy to get it re-tested. Some of you will know the machine but for everyone else, here's the list of goodies:

15T front sprocket, newish chain a rear sprocket, Ohlins rear shock, Mille swing arm, dark Double bubble screen, Mille steering damper, VTR sidestand, HID headlight, dip switch mod (to keep dip on when on main beam), uprated battery, clear rear light lens with Nooj LED conversion (V. Tasty!), tail tidy, aftemarket indicators, MPL clutch slave, CF hugger, skidmarx belly pan, SS Renegade high level cans with DB killers (makes them road legal), Evo airbox and filter, Factory Pro chip, Braking Wave discs, and, last but not least, OZ wheels - and yes, they are the genuine article. It also comes with both pillion seat and solo cowl and even that Holy Grail of Falcos, The Tank Prop :smt007

I'll post up some pics tonight if I can. It's in generally good condition but there is a slight scuff on the LH mid panel where it fell over once :smt013 but I've got a spare panel.

I'm looking for £2650 with all the goodies but might take a bit less with standard wheels instead of the OZ's. I'll leave it here for a week then try elswhere if there's no takers.

I'm thinking of getting a Fut so might also swap for one in the event that somone wants to upgrade :smt002

Here's some pics

Thanks Dale. Yep, got pretty mixed emotions about letting it go but I can't afford 2 bikes and, the pillion of something like a Futura is a better place to be for my partner. And at least a Fut is still a 'Priller :smt007

Hope life is still good for you down there!

Cheers
Dave

Shame you're not selling some of the 'goodies' seperately!

shhhh

don't talk to loudly you will disturb the vultures....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

If you could persuade your Lady to ride it then you would not need to sell it. It was dodgy pillion pads that prompted me to start riding many years ago....

and she would probably let you borrow it sometimes? :smt002

LoL - nice idea... except she doesn't have a licence and I'm doing exceptionally well to get her to ride pillion :smt023

Sorry it's going Dave :smt010
Hope you get something more comfy sorted out, a Futura might be a good compromise as you have said. Let us know how you get on and please keep in touch whatever you get.
To anybody looking and thinking about this bike, grab it while you can, this is a superbly modified well looked after bike and well worth the the asking price, forget any guide prices, this one is special, go for it!

I always liked your Falco, Dave .... but as I've got one already I'll not be after this one myself.
It will certainly be a nice buy for whoever has it next. Whoever they are, point them at the forum.

Swelling the ranks of the Futura owners on here seems like a good plan.

Thanks for the comments guys - cheques are in the post :smt002 (well, they will be if I sell it). If it doesn't go, I may end up trading it in, in which case, I'll put as much back to standard as is practical and offer the bits to the Forum. So, keep circling :smt045

Hi Dave - sorry to hear that the Falco is going. Hope you get fixed up but do stick around here. Thanks for your advice during my early falco days - much appreciated.

Hope you get a respectable price.

Thanks Dave. That's the good thing about this forum - everyone chips in with what they know which gives a huge pool of knowledge.

I'll definitely be staying on the forum, whatever happens, but I've kind of got my heart set on a Fut - even though it's no where near as pretty as a Falco (waits for the incomming) :smt002
