Keeping the Forum Running

#1 Post by D-Rider » Tue Jun 08, 2010 7:19 pm

Just posting this here as there may still be some that don't venture beyond the Falco or Aprilia areas of the forum so will not have seen the main thread.

Ridersite used to be a fully sponsored forum but last year that ceased to be the case. We decided we'd keep it going by having a voluntary whip round every so often. We do have a little bit of sponsorship now but without the kind donations of forum members we couldn't keep this running.
It's nearly time to pay server fees again and so we're just reminding those that want to and can afford to that their donations would be appreciated.

If you can't afford to donate or choose not to, then don't worry, you are still welcome here - being part of the forum and joining in the discussions etc is still contributing to forum life and we're glad to have you with us.

Link to the main thread with the paypal donation link: https://www.ridersite.com/viewtopic.ph ... 6&start=96

Hmmm, this place has cost me a packet, I don't know about anything else! The greetings to my 'hello' post were "get your credit card out" :smt005

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Yeah - we really should look into a sponsorship deal with ebay - the amount of business that we put through them as a result of what we discuss on here!

And thanks to those donors not previously thanked :smt004
Hopefully we're getting towards the amount we need for the server fees and for Sam's retirement home (wasn't I meant to mention that :smt017 )

dunno andy - he has already asked for a bulk discount on his enemas....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
