06 Falco for sale *SOLD*

#1 Post by FlyingKiwi » Tue Jun 08, 2010 8:04 am

Hi all,
As Titled.
I'm selling my Falco. This is a bit of advanced notice for any lurkers out there as I have one more trip to do next week :smt003
It's been a great run of over 4 years and 2 Falcos but thanks to someone elses negligence I am in a position to try something different.
So....
06 Falco. By the time I get back from the Alps it will have around 11300 miles on it. Fully serviced.
Extras:
US sidestand, Belly Pan, Heated Grips, White Mille shock, Carbon front mudguard, Tint rear lens and LED bulbs, LED indicators, Home made tailtidy, Scottoiler, Genuine Aprilia panniers and Quill T3 road legal Carbon cans with removable baffles.
It has a Meta 357t alarm and is datatagged although I've yet to change the deatails from the previous owner. It also has a carbon hugger but that was off my crashed Falco and has some peeling to the lacquer. It has new Roadsmarts on now but who knows what they'll look like at the end of next week :smt016
What more could you want?
I'm asking £3800 for the lot including original parts. I was offered £3500 as a trade. If I can't get that then I'll be advertising it for a bit less but without some of the goodies for the vultures on here.

comments, abuse, ridicule welcome :smt020

You'll be back :smt002 .... that's if after a long trip together you can bear to part!

..... and in the meantime it's just as well it's not a Falco-only forum ....

Pete - here's your opportunity to upgrade to a better colour :smt004

good luck with the sale mate - i am aware that there are a few looking for a falco here abouts

in view of the colour, why would i want to give up on power?? :smt019

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

.... I'm betting on one of those pig-ugly new VFR1000s

.... either that or an old CX500-turbo ....

Not wishing to show too much knowledge about them, but they're actually 1200cc... And there's a recall out regarding swarf in the engine, by all accounts.

And yes, they are pig-ugly. I still frequent a VFR forum to keep up to date with mods other owners make to the first of the line VFR 750s (the one before the single-sided swingarm malarkey), as that's the bike I have in France.

It's really quite amusing the contortions some of the VFR1200 owners go through to justify the purchase of a £12k motorcycle that hasn't just had a passing acquaintance with the ugly stick, but has been beaten to within an inch of its life by it.

Sorry the Falco's going Kerry.
Come back and tell us what you get and how it compares. The other forums are a bit quiet compared with the Falco one.
I occasionally post in the KWACK forum since I got the 9R in January, but it's a bit sleepy in there.
Good luck with the sale and the new purchase!
