Falco (possibly) for sale

#1 Post by blenks » Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:11 pm

Unfortunately I have just been made redundant so may have to let the Falco go if something doesn't turn up shortly.

If anybody is interested a brief description.

Some of you may know it as Woodbutchers old bike

2002 (52), silver/grey, 21,000k, full service history, Passenger seat cover and saddle, All keys & books, Excellent condition, MOT'd and taxed. (not sure how long is left on them) if any body is interested I can let them know.

Extras include.
Colour coded belly pan
Demon oval stainless cans £200 (badged as Akrapovic Aprilia Racing) less than 6 months old. Road legal with baffles fitted
Mille shock £100 inc bearings (yellow with cannister) all new bearings fitted when exchanged for original again around 6 months ago
Side stand
Clutch slave cylinder
R&G bar end protectors £27
R&G crash bungs
R&G frame protectors £65
Fork protectors £20
Swingarm protectors £20
Carbon headstock cover £15
Carbon instrument unit cover £15
Tailtidy £25
Acumen gear indicator £60
Mini indicators front & back £40
Long stem mirrors £40 (about 1 month old)
Red anodised reservoir caps £30

Prices are what I have paid for each item.

I have the original tailpiece, mirrors, cans and indicators so they will go with it, if it goes.

If anybody is genuinely interested drop me a PM with your contact details and I can send some photo's. There are a couple in the Aprilia Gallery (Blenks) The first is how it looked when I bought it. As you'll see from the other pics I fitted Rizoma mirrors but could not get on with them so fitted the long stem Aprilia ones.

Sorry to hear about your job situation - not good round here again - particularly with those large impending job losses courtesy of our new government on top of everything.

Hope something turns up quickly and you can keep the bike - and if not, hope you get a good price.

Thanks Andy. You're right about this area, there isn't much about. I am having to look at further afield to find anything worth applying for. Still I have a few opportunities lined up but may let the Falco go anyway as I would be looking for something more like a Caponord, Triumph Tiger or GS to use as a commuter. The Falco is a fun bike but not the most comfortable when you're 6'2".

someone posted today that they were looking for a falco .....

and hope you get a job soon

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
