Ace ride today... plus I spotted a Falco

#1 Post by rick » Sun May 30, 2010 7:57 pm

Fantastic ride, 270 miles from B'ham to Aberystwyth - picked up M5 to Worcester and then the fantastic A44 all the way to Aber (with the small A470 section between Rhayader and Llangurig).

Then North from Aber to Mach, over to Welshpool then Shrewsbury and picked up the A458 to Stourbridge and then home.

I spotted a Falco just north of Aber at a services in Tre'ddol - Bronzey coloured one with two other bikes (non-Falcos). It looked like a newly registered one... PO56 K something or other... nice looking... guy with a moustache... anyone from here? They were riding off as I walked out of the shop with some power food!

God I love my Falco... I also used the new MCN app, GPS tracker thing, really good... shows route superimposed on Google Maps showing blue for braking zones and red for acceleration, plus G forces and usual GPS gubbins... highly recommended.

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.
