I took the shock off and stripped it for a good clean up. Then i rebuilt it and was setting the preload to where it was originally....or so i thought. While turning the adjuster screw for the preload i was thinking that it was getting a bit tight.
Anyway I had chosen the wrong marks and basically put far to much pressure on the screw and binded up the threads.
Now the preload adjuster is locked in one position and it can't be turned either way (not without wrecking it even more).
Gutted to say the least......

That was last night

Today i took it to maxton and told them what a twat i had been.
"No problem, we've seen worse. Leave it with us and give us a call in two weeks"...Pheww they can fix and replace the body if need be.
I will be getting a one piece adjuster instead of the lock nut type..cool
So as it is there i told them to give it a service as well

I recon it is going to hit the £200 mark but i will be a wiser person and i get a serviced shock with a decent preload adjuster on it

£200 out of pocket though

ouch.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
