OH F*&^
Must make mental note.
When taking bike off paddock stand to make sure the side stand is down.
Can you guess yet......
Dropped it down on the stand (that wasn't there) and scraped it down the garage wall....AAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHH.
Still it could've been worse the mirror took the brunt of it, but it has also bent the bracket on the inside of the fairing that holds the mirrors and the fairing in place. Looks a little lop sided now.
I'll have to attack it tomorrow with some moleys and straighten the bugger out a bit
Just hope i don't do anyting quite so silly again.

I did the opposite a couple of years ago... missed the bobbin with the hook when putting it onto the paddock-stand.
Narrowly missed the very small boy who was standing watching me. The little bugger didn't even try to catch it
No real damage except the snapped front brake lever... 6 days before a two-week tour of europe... panic just doesn't cover it somehow!

Yeah, I put my old Yammy XS750SE onto the sidestand, go talk to buddies and it slowly sinks into the grass and gently falls to the ground. And it was slow motion. Not slow enough to catch it. Broken windscreen and clutch lever. Imagine trip back home, 12 miles through Warsaw (capital of Poland BTW :) ) without a clutch?

I could do with a new left hand mirror if you have one Howard.
I'm also after a new front bracket sub-frame thing that holds the clocks , mirrors and fairing in place.
Mine got bent in the fall and they are surprisingly tough to bend back. Then the paint splits and flakes off.
For the couple of quid they'll cost i want to fit a new straight one and be done with it.
At least the mirror and bracket took the fall and the plastics have got away scott free. Pheww

Afraid it's not good news as I only have the R/H mirror left unfortunately. Sold the left hand recently.the duke wrote:I could do with a new left hand mirror if you have one Howard.

Then for the really bad news on the innstrument panel (also known as clock panel).
I assume you mean number 3 shown below -

Not the couple of quid you thought I'm afraid !

Price from Aprilia Yorkshire is £281.84 plus delivery!
So if it's not damaged too much, may be worth seeing if it will straighten and spray up.

I brought myself one of those last year after my off at cadwell. Bit pricey but I needed it because theoriginal was ripped apart. On a plus note, I only waited two weeks because they had to get it in from Italy.
