New Tyres on

#1 Post by old git » Thu May 06, 2010 6:51 pm

Just a pointer, new rubber on the old bird this evening, excellent service & seems like a decent price on a pair of Avon storm Ultra 2, ride in/out.

ETB in Worcester, Hylton road.
Only been doing tyres & servicing for bikes about 5 weeks now, long established family co.
Very helpful, did me a good price, quick to get them in for me to.
Guy in the dedicated fitting bay used to have his own business, now incorporated into ETB doing servicing, repairs et. al.
Could be worth a look if anyone is in the area & needs rubber.

Don't forget to write a few things after you've put a few miles on them. How much did they cost you?

OK, as requested just upto 200 miles & they feel grrrrrrrrreat!
Already edge to edge fully confident with them, they don't twitch or budge at all.
I was very very pleased with the Avon Storm ST's I had before, long wear & never any movement in them even when squared off & worn right down, these feel the same.
This was alot of why I went with the Avon again, don't think I will be disappointed.
On the lads SV650, got over 7000 miles from a set of the ST's (they were like sliks when we finished) so was loathed to move to a new make having had good experience.
Nothing but :smt003 for the Avons, everyone has their own likes, but from what I have done albeit all road no track at all, they are great tyres & great value.
Price - ride in/out fully fitted, balanced & vat £205
Not worth me getting my hands dirty for the £20 I could have saved fitting them myself.

Will post again in a week or two once I get to 1000m mark.
