Avon Storm ST
Anyone used Storms on the Falco, had them on my SV & came with them on the Falco.
Anyone else used Avons'???
Interested in an objective view on them if possible.

Storm STs on Falco
I've been using them for around a year now and cannot recommend them highly enough.
Far better grip and feel than supposedly sportier Metzler M1s, thousands of miles with little wear but most of all I find them very stable but with fast enough steering.
I'd quite like to try the Dunlop RoadSmart as they are even more highly rated in the magazines i've been reading.

Hi, I've run the Storms for a couple of years and like them. I'm not a super fast rider but the rear tyre is always worn right to the edge and I've never had grip issues.
I'm running a Dunlop Roadsmart on the front at the moment and will be fitting a Roadsmart rear in a couple of weeks to run down to Stelvio and back

I'm running Road Attacks which are very good with excellent grip, although I've noticed the rear gets about 5k miles (I think) and goes a little square toward the end.
I used to run Avon AV45/46 (predecessor to the Storms) on my Hornet and they were an excellent tyre. I think I'll be giving the Storms a try at some point lthough I to have heard excellent stuff about the Roadsmarts.

Dyzio,
have done about 2K miles now, don't seem to have flattened off one bit!.
Even when I did my little tour round the lakes last month ( in the rain) never twitched once.
They give me total confidence, I lean over as far as my nerves will let me & not so much a a wiggle ever, even when trying to get a move-on.
Everyone has there own preference but I will not be buying any other brand except Avon, not even interested in trying others out, thats how confident I am.
Call it blind faith if you want, but mileage was high before they finally went on the SV, did best part of 4K on worn ones with the Falco, these look to be even better.
I was so chuffed, I even wrote to Avon to say thank-you, think if you would write to complain, should write when something is good also.
Best of luck.

Thanks for that,
The Angels I have on at the moment are performing very good as well, 5+k on them now and the rear started showing a sign of squaring (nothing bad though and very good for a single compound tyre I think).
Reason for my asking was I saw them on a KTM Super Duke and they were ready for a change after... 9k, impressive!
I'll wait till mine need a change and might just go for the Storms.

I'll go out on a limb & say that I will be disapointed if they don't do 10K+ on the Falcodyzio wrote:Thanks for that,

The missus has just had a Storm ST put on the rear of the Fazer, apparently it has a very hard centre section which should suit her 120 mile a day motorway commute well.
