Falco original clip ons

#1 Post by wayno » Tue Apr 27, 2010 7:39 am

Does anyone here have any pictures of the original position of the standard clip ons?

I dropped my heli bars down last night as I think they're too high, but want to lower them more, before I did I was curious to know where the original ones sit.

Hard up under the top triple and a bolt to align them for you

I'm after apicture of the height, to show me where the bars sit on the clamp part, I have helibars and want to get a gauge of where stuff sits normally so that if I do move them dow I won't inadvertantly trap anything.

Not a great picture but probably the best I've got to hand (and old too - still got the marzocchi forks and Falco yokes)

If you want to see other angles, have a search of the Aprilia Gallery on here .... there are a lot of bikes on there ....

That helps a bit, I think mine are pulled back due to the heli bars, I'll go through the gallery, that's always fun anyway :)

Thanks for digging that one out.

iirc the best aftermarket clip ons was some italian firm - think there was a good discussion about them on af1.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

WRP make some raised clip ons that are about perfect. M&P sell 'em but there is about a 30 day wait for them

Can someone measure the centre of the clip on diameter to the bottom of the top yoke, when the standard ones are mounted tight under the top yoke.

I don't think i'll find any standard ones for sale so I might see what aftermarket ones are like height wise
