New Falco's in area...

#1 Post by GregD-UK » Mon Apr 19, 2010 5:59 pm

Hi all,

I was out in the van on sat and pulled along the seafront and a shiney red and black falco was infront of me, he pulled into a shell garage and I followed him in. Found out "Kev" was from darlington and up here for a run as he has just bought the falco. He said it was a great bike, and enjoyed the buy, I said to go onto this site and say hello :smt002

Saturday afternoon, went up to newcastle on bike and a guy walked into Hein Gericke and asked who owned the falco outside, small shop, so I chirped up, and ran to the door! Thought someone was stealing it. He just wanted to say hello and said he has one. The bronze colour, I said shame :smt002 Honestly, we stood and chatted for a spell, seemed a good bloke, again told him to get onto here. More troops to the falco side :smt003

No we don't - the misguided kiddies tend to shout this in the playground - but it's just their jealousy talking.

The yellow ones are clearly fastest. Thats why you see so few of them about.

Colour

#5 Post by GregD-UK » Mon Apr 19, 2010 9:00 pm

Hi all,

Nope, nothing wrong with the bronze colour :smt002 As long as it's a falco, we can all agree, it can be any colour, as long it is falco :smt003

Am thinking of a new mod, my friend who produced the rear lens, might be getting a call next week. Are there any graphic designers in the house please :smt006

The gap between the tank and the frame, I think needs an in-fill, just like the rear of the mille kinda sortta :smt003 Anyone got any thoughts on it at all.....

Not sure what you are thinking Greg and would be interested to hear/see more about your ideas, but one thing I like about the Falco is that you can clearly see the rear cylinder on the Falco, to let people know it's a V Twin. Can't really see the motor on the Mille, which is one up for the Falco in my eyes, but as always we all have different views on things.

Mod's...

#7 Post by GregD-UK » Tue Apr 20, 2010 10:58 am

Hi all,

Yes Howard, everyone has a different slant on things, I don't know how to explain it really without using pictures. There is an infill panel below the seat on a mille that hides the top of the shock. It has a grill bit in the middle. I would like to put a similiar panel underneath the tank, and above the frame. I don't like on the left side all the pipes and wires on show :smt009

So, might have to get a piece of cardboard out and play :smt002

A grill might come in useful - Aladin was talking about having a BBQ at the Club Aprilia weekend ...............

Depends whether you wanna ride your bike or look at it. :smt002 Can't be seen with a pilot on board.

Is he going to do a bird-table pillion attachment too?

.... would be quite appropriate for a Falco .....

Thats a rubbish mod, one of the worst thought through. Surely the bird food is going to blow off as soon he gets above 15mph. Even if it doesn't the birds won't be able keep up and land on the table. Or is the whole thing just parked on the lawn?

You've not quite got it have you Dave. D-Rider, Alad and Nooj don't need to justify their mods, they do it because they can........:smt002
