Digitising 35 mm. transparancies?
Does anyone here know anything about digitising (digitalising??) 35 mm. transparancies? I've about 200 from my time working in Iran in the '70's, which are beginning to show signs of deterioration, and I'd very much lilke to store them digitally before they worsen.
I'd be grateful for any recommendations for software, hardware, or services.
Thanks

Dont know if 200 would justify the cost of the hardware?

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.
If you're after something like this then you should be able to find them almost anywhere.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Thanks chaps.
Sam, that gadget is avaiable for less than £50 (Amazon etc); just didn't know what to look for.

Scanning services, after a quick trawl, seem to charge about 75p per image, so buying the hardware looks the better option - as long as it works ok.
My daughter's expressed an interest in them, as she's following the same path (archaeology); tho' I wouldn't want her wandering round the Middle East at the moment.

Aldi recently had this in their specials - I expect that some branches may have some left:

It obviously scans negatives - I guess it will do transparencies too.
