Still not done too many miles, (approaching a thousand so far), as I am alternating between the the two bikes at the moment
I did around 160 miles on it on Saturday and it still gets more impressive. As mentioned before, it doesn't have the kick of the Falco for instant overtakes at slowish engine speeds, but it has a load of power slightly higher up the rev range and is incredibly easy to ride from low revs, probably the best "fast" bike I have ever ridden in this respect, even better than my old CBR1000F qand VFR750.
The Falco is more fun at slightly more sensible speeds, whereas the 9R really comes alive at higher speeds.
Have recently just been using the real performance just on occasions and I am tending to use the torque more on a fastish run out.
Did about 160 miles this weekend and was very surprised to find I had got 56 mpg as I certainly wasn't riding for economy, (Good old carbs can still work pretty well then!). On one very fast and empty road I did run it about as far into three figures as I would ever do these days, as I don't think I'd enjoy prison food at my age. Then again still a lot left on a bike that should hit around 175.
Certainly a very good bike for real roads, and it still feels very "tight" for an eight year old bike with 19K on the clock.
Still think I've got the best of both worlds with these two.
