Attracting new members

#1 Post by Gio » Thu Feb 22, 2007 10:29 pm

So how do we go about it?

I can remember in the early days we used to get out and about, bragging how good it was, nowadays it seems we don't (Yes I'm one of them as well).

I'm going to see about some stickers (if anyone wants a one or 3) let me know and I'll talk to my tame plastics man :smt001

I dont think stickers work as much as word of mouth to be honest. I seem to recall those early days, leaflet flyers, stickers, etc never seemed to work quite as well as the chat and a 'business card'.

Business card-like cards work well, slip easily in the pocket (unlike flyers) and get taken into the house (and put next to the pooter?) unlike other forms of marketing

All imho

I've been meening to point some of my non-Aprilia biking friends in this direction for a while .... but never got round to it.

Maybe I'd better get on and spread the word.

BTW if anyone ever gets something published in MCN (or another mag) try to give the site a plug.
When MCN did a feature on the Falco ("Why I had to have ....") we managed to get a plug in for the ARS - that brought in a good number of new members.

It's too damned cold for me to dance naked in Lapland

(you really don't know how relieved the world should be about that)
