Well I admired him as a driver, but as an individual I think he stinks.
The phrase "look before you leap" springs to mind in regard to the comment (when they opened on the third floor while the lift was still a floor further up.)

I totally misread the last sentence and was going to comment that i bet she was in high spirits! the insurance money will be nice.
Then i re-read it.. so.. I bet HE is in high spirits.. the insurance money will be nice
