I need a website, how do I start one?

I own an AllYearBiker franchise already, and have also just taken on a similar deal from Puncturesafe, so what I want now is a website to keep them both in.

I want it to be in two halves, one for each franachise. The AllYearBiker half will have some info, some photos and a link to the AYB website for people to book in, easy enough. But for the Puncturesafe half I'm going to need all that and online shopping facilities as well.

What would you recommend? One of my chums with a t-shirt company has a shop done with PrestaShop and highly rates it for ease of use. Would that cope with the AYB side of things as well?

I have a company name settled on, so need somewhere to register it as a web domain, any recommendations on that?

Hi Nooj,
I'm not sure what they're like at domain hosting, but fasthosts.co.uk are cheap to register a domain with. I renewed beatbutchers.co.uk (don't ask) with them for £6.79 for two years. I don't think initial registration was a great deal more. I haven't done anything with the domain because I'm bone idle...

Cheap is good, but how reliable are these things? Will there be a helpdesk bod who speaks English? How often will their servers get hacked? Will the cleaner accidentally pull the plug out?

Ive used 1and1 for web domain, hosting (and free email attached to the domain)
I also rate vistaprint highly for cards, and promotional/business stationery items
