MotoGPs in Europe

#1 Post by ReggieGasket » Sat Feb 13, 2010 6:57 pm

Anyone thinking of making a trip to a MotoGP race in Europe this year? I'm tempted by Mugello on the 6th of June - over the Alps :smt003

I'd like to go but for me it'd be Assen.

I won't know until about 2 months time anyway.

I know Yellowduck is planning on doing Assen - I think he's meeting up with Mini Me over there.

(Both tend to post more on AF1)

Could be a good few Falcos there

Turns out I can't make Mugello and am now thinking Assen too. I'll do a role call nearer the time to see who might be there. Really fancied going over the Alps, but another time.

.... and I'm wondering whether this might make an interesting detour on the way back from the south of France ......

Maybe a meet up at Assen could get off the ground ....

The only problem with Assen is the weather. 10/1 says its rains again at some point over the weekend

My mates got trench foot the last time they were there :smt003

Me..I love Monza. I'd love to see the World Supers at Monza, the sound of that Prilla V4 at full chat must be superb. I watched the F1 test session there a couple of years ago and it was brilliant.

Sounds good - the Monza timing is not good for me unfortunately (early May). Moto GP at Silverstone is tempting. I watched F1 qualitfying last year and stood on the outside on the entry to Maggots. This was after trying a few corners and watching Alonso at that first right hander in this complex was amazing. His car was bouncing round it at probably 150mph?

Thinking about a meet up. Could be at a corner on the saturday or a few drinks on the friday or sat night? Never been so not sure where to watch from. Good thing about bikes is you are normally dressed for bad weather :smt001

If I go it certainly won't be on a Falco, far to small for a trip like that. :smt005
