Strangely my daughter rang me to tell me that he'd died. She was quite upset.

Maybe it's a girl thing??

Designer, Alexander McQueen died today due to possible suicide. According to TMZ, international fashion designer, Alexander McQueen died earlier today due to a possible suicide attempt. However,it has not been confirmed. They say that there are reports claiming Alexander took his own life,but so far , an official cause of death has not been released. The UK’s Sky News reports that McQueen was found hanged in his apartment,and that local police said that his death would not be treated as suspicious.

Alexander McQueen often designed outfits for huge stars such as: Lady Gaga, Rihanna , Prince Charles,Madonna,and Naomi Campbell. A representative from Alexander McQueen’s office released a statement saying, “At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with McQueen’s family.” Despite all of his accolades, Alexander always wanted to keep very private,and often turned down most interview requests. He also stayed away from the post-show limelight that other designers would heavily go after

Well I'm not a girl but I am a female and although I've never worn so called high fashion I've heard of a lot of top designers - never heard of him though.

Well I'm as much in the dark as everyone else but I'm not exactly surprised as I doubt I could name any fashion person as I've never had any interest whatsoever.
