Oh my god, whats he done..

No. not me.. my 11 year old Son!

I come back from the Falklands to find he now is the proud owner of a Honda NU50MC Runaway (complete with docs)
Admittedly its 3/4 in bits, but its all there! Cost him the princely sum of nothing! Bit of sucking thru teeth 'ooh thatll cost for the council to take it away, tell ya what Ill take it off your hands......' and it became his!

Just thought i would ask if anyone has had one of these, has any spares for one of these, or has a good source of spares.. apparently wemoto do a fair whack of parts, but anywhere else?

We had a look at the engine and transmission parts, we've 3 barrels and two bottom ends, one auto transmission with belt and one with chain.. a right mix of bits. i
Im sure i can find one of the scooter shops nearby who'd be able to bore it out to 70cc or failing that im sure my 150cc lambretta engine and drivetrain will drop straight in... well, straight in as far as 'with hammer, chisel and anglegrinder' goes..
Wemoto is a little goldmine of bits and there's a couple of places on ebay who do pattern parts.. there's a place all the backstreet garages use for parts supply (pattern) but cant remember the name of it at the moment.. think ill have to go visit cambridge motorcycles, theyre the local 'proper' garage and not the run of the mill dealership.

hehe, you know my Sam, he's all over it like a rash! It's got reeds too... oh dear.. he remembered my MZ running racing reeds and he's already on about porting and polishing, upjetting and sorting out the air intake.
Jorge taught him well.

I had one similar to that Like this except it was bright yellow.
I came by it in more or less the same way - it was in a mates skip so 'rescued it'. Got it going and ran it for a short while then gave it to another mate who took it to his place in France (in a van!!). It's still doing service as a 'Baguettemobile'! I got the few bits I needed from Dave Silver.
The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.
