It's all over the roads all throughout the year, not just in winter. If you want to protect your bike from it then I can help as I am an AllYearBiker motorcycle anti-corrosion franchise owner.

Incase you are wondering, this is what you'll get for your readies:

Initial washdown


Degreasing, getting rid of the oily goo


Washing off the degreaser


Go ahead dirt, make my day!


Foam cleaner, taking off the lightweight filth and road traffic film


Another wash down, taking off the foam and the last of the dirt


Into the garage to be dried off


Masking off the tyres and brakes


Spraying on the magic jizz


High pressure mist gets into all the places you can't normally reach when applying it by hand


Final shine with our own PTFE wax

Hmmm would be rude not to as I am just round the corner from you. Two big questions though,

1. how much?

2. bearing in mind that I may need some paintwork redoing in the the future, is it likely to cause me all manner of headaches when I come to get this done?

Price is £60 per bike, sounds a lot, but NO ONE who's had it done has complained about the price after seeing the results, a couple of people have even said we should charge more! Takes me two hours a bike, it's been said a couple of times now that I'm doing a better job than that the guy that started it up and some customers are travelling the extra distance to me rather than go to their nearest place as they think I do a more thorough job of it!

One bike, I'll trundle out 20 miles.
two bikes, I'll drive up to 40 miles.
three bikes, 70 miles.
four bikes, I'll drive up to 120 miles.

Just a thought, Nooj. Is this something that even fair-weather bikes can benefit from? I doubt my Falco will ever see any salt, but if it makes it easier to do a wash down then it's probably good value anyway...

I have heard it said that the salt can be as bad in the summer months (I guess the spring anyway)

after it has been deposited in winter ans some washes away, a saltr residue dries out at the bottom of the irregularities in the road surface making a very concentrated salt deposit .... spring and summer showers bring it to life to attack the bikes.

Don't know how true this is but it's what I've heard.

You heard right, it is true. Salt is still there months after it's been put down, every time it rains it gets bought back up to the road surface and sprayed onto your bike.

I'd have to fetch 'em up one at a time though, I'm jobless so can bring them up any day if you're doing weekdays.
