Found some old pictures ......

I've come across a few old bike pictures that I've scanned in .... thought I'd inflict them on you lot!


My kid brother's BSA B25 Starfire:

My CB400F1 .... along with my mate Barry's GT250 (I'm on the left, my mrs is sitting on my bike .... before she was my mrs .... though she's being hidden by my sister's boyfriend of that time). Guess I was 22 then:

I'll put these links in as best I can. I think they run from 73 probably until 82 or so. I have a few more somewhere.....


The Mz on the way down to Turkey - about 73- Look how low the back end is befor my passenger (nick) gets on. Also for the observant its been double cabled.

Me on the Venom. What fun that bike was. It could get amonst them in pretty much any modern for (the time class), thats for sure. I think 58 and bit seconds for Brands club circuit. This photo is possibly Cadwell.

Know what you mean Andy, BUT, after Brit bikes from Velocette (Venom and MAC), BSA, Matchless, Norton and Triumph, the T350 Suzuki was an absolute revelation.
Yes it was simple to fix, but it never went wrong, put oil in the oil tank, filled it up with petrol and that was it, I always knew I would get to work and back home again every day, even in the dark and wet!
The Belstaff Trialsmaster also helped in the rain.

Yeah - it's true .... though punctures happened with fair regularity, the C50 I had would regularly conk out due to going through puddles that you couldn't see in the dark down the lanes to our village ... and my CB175 cut through the loom when it dropped on to the chain ... half way through an overtake and it just stopped ... on another occasion it destroyed pistons and rings ... but it limped home to be stripped .... and my CB250 destroyed it's camchain tensioner which left a bit of a mess ....

Ah yes Bellstaff Trialmaster Professional waxed cotton stuff - brilliant .... though waxed cotton stuff these days costs a mint!

Still have that old one up in the loft somewhere, although did not keep it waxed and the moths have had a few nibbles!
