There is only one section to post this in!
This week MCN has turned their "TopTen" to Italian Bikes .... "As voted for by 12,000 readers":
MCN wrote:1) Ducati 1098S (07-on)
2) Ducati 848 (07-on)
3) Ducati 749 (03-07)

5) Ducati 748 (94-03)

8) Aprilia Tuono 1000R (03-on)
9) Aprilia RSV Factory (04-on)

.... so, where are the MV Agustas (better than anything listed), where are the Guzzis, where are the Laverdas ......
...... and where on earth is the Falco

The main problem here Andy are the three letters "MCN"
Hundreds of pages of ads and probaly the worst journo's going means that their main reader base is now the type of bikers who turn up to the NEC in the car and don their Ducati leathers in the car park
Yes I know its silly to generalise but in years gone past I couldn't wait for Wednesday to come round for my copy of MCN, now its just rubbish, sensationalised rubbish at that
12,000 readers? my arse! they made this list up whilst sat on the bog

Rich has a point. I don't buy very often but every 4 or 5 weeks I pass the it and think I might be missing something so I shell out my 2 quid.....................only to think "why did I bother?"

Yeah - I deliberately stopped buying it a while back - objecting particularly to the ridiculous price ..... but I still seem to buy it more often than not as when I flick through it in Tescos, there's always something or other I feel I must read ... and then I forget to ask myself if it really is worth £2.
When I did without completely for a month or two I really felt that I had no clue what was going on with:
- Sport - although that is particularly bullshit laden and speculative
New Bikes - although that is particularly bullshit laden and speculative
New Technology Introductions - which is relevant to work
The world of biking in general
MCN does give info on these things but it needs reading with the bullshit and sensationalism filter turned up beyond the MAX setting.
It is also FAR too expensive .... though they can afford to deliver it to your door for nearer to a quid if you subscribe - so why on earth does it cost nearly £2 on the shelves?
I long for the old days when we had a choice of which weekly bike paper we read ... MCN was not my choice back then either ...

MCN's about as good as Top Gear is now - crap.
The list is as voted by MCN readers, not riders - and that says it all.
Hope winter is being kind to you all......

Right That's It !!!!
At lunchtime today I popped over to Tescos to get something to eat.
Had a quick look at MCN.
It has a "review of the year" feature .... it suckered me in .... I bought it.
Bad enough you may think .... but there's more ....
As I left the shop I had a quick look at my till receipt ... then the barcode area on the paper and in small print is the price .....
£2.80 FFS!
It was a rip-off before - this goes beyond description !!
Had I been aware before I bought it, it would have sat firmly on the shelf.
I hope that my Christmas gift to you all of £2.80 saved through this warning is appreciated .... after all, it's cost me £2.80

Well thats the final nail in an already well sealed coffin
£2.80?? well good luck to those pay it because I won't be.
What I find so amazing is that so many people continue to pay that much for it. When I meet my mates they will often comment did you see "such & such" in this weeks MCN
When I tell them no, because its full of drivel and pages and pages of ads so I've decided not to buy it any longer, they agree!!!
