Venom Cans
I have some new Motad venom cans which I am going to fit this weekend, I have a couple of questions as I am new to this game.
1. Will I need to re-map?
2. Should I fit the noise retrictor baffle
I have received the cans and the baffle is out, will they make a nice sound with the baffles in?
whats the pro and cons in fitting the baffles or not, i presume that they will be very loud without them.
But should be anice sound with them in, at least better thabn the stock cans
Your thought/comments would be welcome
thanks
Clint

Your pros and cons are down to your preference - mine might balance some of the following:clint wrote:Thanks for the quick replies,
D-Rider, what would be my pro n cons then, am not after more speed etc, just a better sound and one thats not going to draw ant attention from the men in blue.
any advice?
Clint
1) Are they too loud/quiet for me?
2) Are they too loud for my neighbours if I regularly leave early or return late?
3) Are they legal (and, if not, how likely are they to attract the wrong sort of attention)?
4) How much does the fuelling need changing (if at all) and if so, do I have a PCIII or am willing to buy one (the fuelling requirement may change between baffles in and out).

I fitted a pair last weekend. They have a deeper sound, much better than standard. I haven't tried them without the baffles but it would only be a 10 minute job to take them off and give them a go. They look much better than standard too. So, pro's, better sound and looks. Con's, can't think of any.

i had also heard that the baffles make little or no difference to those cans
my renes are too loud with out the baffles in - and my old blue flames ran with the minimal, not full baffle - no baffle was too much for my neighbours

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
Thanks for all your replys,
Drider I will rtake on board what you have said
The cans are on and no baffle fit, very deep sound and a great tone, will see how they go and how the neighbours like them, I sure do and yes they are very easy to fit and a great price, look great on the bike as well
thanks all
will get some pics posted soon

I had a pair of these and tried them with and without baffles. Noise wise I couldn't notice much of a difference but the bike seemed to run better with them out (I believe they may have been making it run to rich), ie smoother.
Never had any problems with them until some silly cow 'customised' them using the front of her Ford Escort.
