Does anyone know what happened to ......

#1 Post by D-Rider » Mon Nov 02, 2009 11:45 pm

Does anyone know what happened to some regular posters who just vanished

Fausto ..... disappeared at the beginning of August
Kenif ..... disappeared at the end of April
EdinburghFalco ..... disappeared at the end of July
Danowat ..... disappeared at the end of June
Shootmyscoot ..... disappeared in the middle of August
Big_Al ..... disappeared mid April

..... I'm sure there will be one or two more .....

There was a guy who posted a lot on the Coventry forum when I joined who disappeared after a while.
I later found out that he'd lent his bike to be used in a photoshoot featuring ladies in various states of undress ..... seems his mrs found copies of said photos on his laptop .... resulting in a smashing of his laptop and a total ban on him replacing it.
I doubt that all of the above disapearees shared that experience but you do wonder what happened when they've been consistent posters.
Hope nothing bad has befallen any of them.

If anyone has any news .....

Damn!

Scantily clad ladies on a Falco would certainly make my day :smt003

Sorry I cant help otherwise, but its cool that a site's users try to keep track of each other - nice one.

Just to add another one.

Andy (Falcoholic) seems to have drifted away, not really posted since July, but popped in on September 10th -

i sent fausto a text earlier today.... no reply as yet

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Still here but with far less spare time of late so only very occasional looks in. Still have the bikes but the far less time factor applies there too. If I ever get my life back from my new lady then you'll be hearing more from me again.

Sorry Pete - that text must have gone to my old mobile. Yet more things I'm falling behind on....

Not that I am complaining - life is good at the mo' :smt003

Good to hear from you again and to know all is well, a good woman is still the best thing you can have in life, so look after her!
Sadly, mine has never been interested in bikes, although we have always done everything else together. She even used to co-drive for me in my old Escort Twin Cam rally car 30 years or so ago.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r164 ... n10012.jpg

She's the one in the passenger seat, hanging on !!

I go out on the bike regularly all through the year, but usually only at weekends outside the summer months. Whenever she's off for a long session at the hair dressers, or a long shopping session, that's when I go for longer runs on the bike at the same time. Would be daft if she spent all Saturday afternoon out somewhere, then I spent all Sunday afternoon out on the bike, (I appreciate there may be others that think it better the other way!). Obviously if she aint going out shopping or whatevr, I do still go out, but probably just for a couple of hours or so.
Some people may snigger, but it has always worked for me we're still together and happy after 30 odd years, and I've been biking for 40 odd! :smt002

Would still be nice if if I could get her out on the bike though. Think if I bought a Gold Wing or a big BMW Tourer with a rear armchair, she might just do it, (always sits on them at bike shows), but there have to be limits to how much a bloke can do!

He's given up bikes - he did say his good-byes on here.

I'm here, been absent for ages.
Haven't used the old bird for 2 weeks, got a plumber in moving my bathroom, so it's chaos at home, a mate had to babysit the bike in his garage so the plumber can work outside where she is normally parked.
Also, started sharing a car with the Mrs. so been sharing a ride to work in that to save using 2 lots of petrol.

(Car is Italian too - so that's been keeping me busy fault finding LOL)

Hope everyone is well and getting to use their bike more than me!

I'm still lurking around although not been on here for a wee while. Gainfully unemployed since the 10th of May (yes really) although got a wee warehouse job to keepme going for the time being but there just isn't the construction work at the mo.

Managed to drop my bike off the bike ramp and do a wee bit of damage. Instrument cluster bracket totally fecked but beaten back into shape to allow me to finish the summer off. Bidding on a second hand one on the bay of e at the mo and will be getting a respray over the winter. Need a LH mirror too

I still love the beast and had some real quality runs over the summer. And no I won't be selling it anytime soon.

Hope you guys and gals are all well and fightin the good Falco fight.

Cheers
