Hi, I changed from Blueflames race cans, to Beowulf Warrior cans due to the excessive noise of the Blueflames. The Beowulf cans are stubby and OK with the baffles in, and loud with them out. Fully stainless construction & made in Yorkshire, great bunch to deal with too. My Falco's got the carbon airbox conversion and a power commander 3 and fuels beautifully with these cans on.

I've been watching cans for a few months on ebay, but am no expert. I would expect the carbon cans to go for a decent price, but no idea what the chip is worth. A pair of oval Leo Vince cans didn't get a bid at £75 a few weeks ago - this is a decent brand. Main issue is the fuelling and whether you want road legal. I have a pair of Scorpion cans which are stamped road legal and went through the MOT OK, but they are not really road legal. Having said that they are not super loud and with ear plugs in they sound fine. As you can see there's no real point to this posting :smt003

The reason for the posting was to try and find out what you guys thought about the SL Carbon ones as they're meant to be an aprilia race can BUT are they really worth the money ? And with the chip as well is it going to be the best buy or is there other options ?!?!?!?

Like the look of the moto ones but again was a little bit worried that all they would be is a POLICE stop sign when on the bike !!! ..............although not that fussed about that !! :smt005

I'd go for the original Aprilia SL ones. Mind you, they're not "road legal" too.
They'll be worth more come resale. Don't know about chips as I'm happy with the power I've got.
I run Carbon Quills evo 2.

I have the Aprilia carbon race cans and they are excelent quality. I looked to do the packing after 40,000 miles and having opend one up, it was still so good inside I decided it was not worth doing the other. The outside finnish of the cans are still very good too. The combination of cans, supplied with chip and evo air box mods I'm running work well together, giving very good fueling throughout the rev range and since I can't see where it could be much better, I've not invested in a PC3 .

On the negative side they are descreetly marked as race cans and less descreetly, bloody loud.
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

Could always go for the Mille 2:1 pipe conversion and go for one of these options:
AF1 wrote:We have bought the remaining stock of single akrapovic slip-ons in the USA at a major discount. We are passing the discount on to you.

Aprilia Akrapovic Titanium single can slips on for $359. International shipping is only $75. See it here:

We also have the Shotgun Aprilia Titanium exhausts for $399. International shipping is $90. See it here:

Add a chip when you buy the pipe and save some more.

This deal is good until they are all gone.

This is a great opportunity to fix that dinged up can as well, since this price is less than the replacement silencer cost.
Must admit .... seriously tempted but there again, which would I choose? .... and can't really justify it ....

I'd steer clear of stubbys. I have sl carbons, and they are great. Loud as any race can, chip make good difference too. I've never been pulled for thmn, and if i did, they have 'aprilia' written on them. Definatle worth looking at. Although they do sell for alot of money, i wouldn't pay over the odds for them

Just fitted a pair of Venom stainless cans. Sound deeper than originals and slimmer (ovals). Purchased through eBay from Motad who are selling several sets as they have discontinued them. Starting price of £109, I got them for £170. See link for details if anyone is in the market.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aprilia-Falco-SL1 ... 2557221b3d

They are supplied with link pipes, brakets, springs and removable baffles. Road legal with them fitted. Good quality and much better looking than the originals. Delivered next day.

Many thanks for the link mate but am looking for a set of carbon ones purely just for looks ........i like the look of the black cans on the bike .........sad i know ........not to sure how much those SL CARBON ones were worth so probably under bid ..........maybe should have gone to near four for them ......with the chip i suppose the would have been worth it .... :smt017

Flying out to Vietnam tomorrow for work so now have two / three weeks to keep looking and see if i find anything .... ......Land there on Monday just as my new Falco lands in my garage on the same day .................how bad is that for timeing :smt013 ... :smt005
