#1 Post by GregD-UK » Sat Sep 19, 2009 8:47 pm

Hi all,

I have the carbon racing cans for my falco :smt003 Seems to be blowing from both bottom connections :smt012 Want to drill out and see what is what in there. What size stainless pop-rivets do I need to replace the one's I drill out? Have no clue how to measure them....

Cheers, in anticipation :smt002
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

You need to know the diameter of the hole for the pop rivet diameter then the pop rivet needs to be say 3 or 4mm longer then the two pieces of material your pulling together.
If you know what I mean :smt017

I have a big box of aluminium rivets. They are the gas-tight type.

I choose alu, minium because there not a big difference with stainless if you polish them but you will def.. notice a difference if you have tot POP the stainless bastards.....

You are welcome to have some for P&P drop me a PM.

As Minime says; stainless rivets are great as long as you don't need to drill them out...

Hi all,

Thanks minime, guess the aluminum gas tight one's will be better. Have tried drilling stainless screws out, not a pleasant experience :smt012

PM on the way, cheers mango :smt002
