Maxton forks
My Falco apparently has forks set up by Maxton. I'm wondering what that means in practice? Also will standard fork oil do? Also is there a chance the springs are now set to the weight of the old owner?

Re: Maxton forks
Maxton do tend to do a bespoke service, so it will probably be tailored to the weight/riding habits of the previous owner.ReggieGasket wrote:My Falco apparently has forks set up by Maxton. It all depends how fond of pies he was/you are...

I've got Maxton front & rear on my VFR750 (ok, I know, I'm still not a Falco owner :-( ), but their stuff is excellent. As Mangocrazy said, they do spec their suspension to the customer, but they are very helpful.

Give them a call, talk to Richard the suspension guru there, and he'll probably be able to tell you what the original spec was if yo can give him details of the bike. Regardless the may well be able to rework it to suit you. Even better would be to get down to their premises - I'm sure they'll be able to help you set it up to optimum if you're having problems. A lot of people reckon their stuff is better than Ohlins by the way, if that gives you some idea of the quality. I've got to admit, come the Falco purchase for me, I'll definitely be getting Maxton suspension again
