I started my first day in the Police service :smt009

Seems like only yesterday, but boy does it make me feel old :smt017

Oh, I forgot, I am old :smt003

Congratulations TC, from somebody who is probably even older! :smt038
To be fair it's probably seeing how much the job has changed over that time that really makes you feel old!
I remember a mate of mine also joined the force 35 years ago as he really wanted to be a "beat bobby" in our local area and get to know the local people, help them and help protect them. He achieved it for a while as well, he was well liked by everybody and really enjoyed his job.
It worked as well, as he regularly stopped to talk to people on his beat and people would tell him if they knew about anybody involved in break-ins or anything "funny" going on. To be fair he knew the area and people so well he almost knew about stuff like this before it happened.
Obviously a really silly idea, no wonder it got canned years ago!

happy birthday :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Yes Happy Birthday Dave. :smt006

And T.C. you're dong well if you can still remember the dates of things that far back. I have no idea of dates for most distant events. Getting married and the kids being born etc. I can remember, the exact dates are a struggle.... :smt009
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today
