This side fairing, do we reckon it's from a standard all black Falco, with polished frame? Would it be the same finish/colour as the later dark framed bikes?

Yeah, that looks like the matt black of a US style colour scheme

But Google's translation tool can give you the gist of what's being said .....

Aprilia Falco SL 1000 Front cladding rehc completely incl.blinker, original, good used zust. built 2001, a single accident!

Insured shipping) 7 usd inland (D!

More info or parts for Falco / RSV Mille / Tuono and '03. (Motor / DFI / lack parts / Remus auspufanlage 2in2 with TUV / elektrik accident!, ETC ...) below 017th .. or by mail!

Private sale without any warranty / redemption / conversion / warranty / ETC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

Fun bidders pay 30% of auction price and cost lawyer court stood Dusseldorf!
Says it's 2001 ..... though it certainly does look matt in the picture.
Now the Grey ones (2000), Yellow ones (2001) and Blue ones (2001) all had black sidepanels but I'm not sure whether they were gloss or matt.

You got it Andy - these were all in a sub gloss or matt, so it could be a 2001.
Only the Black Crow version was gloss black (black crow is black with blue metalic bits and very obviously unique). :smt004

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Goddam german fleabay doesn't accept decimal points when bidding - you have to use an effing comma. So my cunning plan to get it in the last 30 seconds failed as it wasn't accepting my bids

My 2001 Falco came standard with the same black side fairings as per the ad. I promptly had them painted silver
