FIM and Mymosa

#1 Post by Kwackerz » Mon Dec 18, 2006 12:39 pm

Searching the FIM site for the new Superbike rules for '07 I came across this : (Opens in PDF) "European Union launches new 2.6 million Euro motorcycle safety project..."

Apparently Dainese are involved in the project, as well as Universities and other Institutes

The Press release links a couple of times to this site:

MYMOSA looks like an organisation designated for people with no ability/experience on motorbikes:-
The prime objectives of this RTN are:

to educate 10 Early Stage Researchers (ESR) in the partially unexplored field of Powered Two Wheelers’ (PTW) and riders' safety
to facilitate the development of R&D abilities (personal career development plan) and the formation of a European network of personal relationships in an early stage of the careers of the researchers (many years benefiting their careers/specialization)
to stimulate co-operation between researchers of 5 universities, 3 research centres and 6 industries (2 SMEs) through visits, secondments and training (Transfer of Knowledge)

That was my initial thought on it. :smt009

But saying that, apart from the 'in at the deep end' approach to teaching from Mymosa, it can only be a good thing that they are bringing on a new breed of researcher 'in our field'

I think?
